Tanit in
Kedesh.
The town
Kedesh is situated in the Upper Galilee . A
seal was found there with the so-called Tanit sign. It dates from the middle of
the second century B.C. It has the following inscription: ’ š ‘ l ’
r Ṣ = He who is over the land.
