Seal from Beirut.

The seal has an inscription and the image of a sphinx. Date: end 8^th cent.BC.

Nowadays at Paris in the Collection de Luynes.

Kedesh

Tanit in Kedesh.

The town Kedesh is situated in the Upper Galilee. A seal was found there with the so-called Tanit sign. It dates from the middle of the second century B.C. It has the following inscription: ’ š  ‘ l  ’ r Ṣ = He who is over the land.

Bodashtart, de boogschutter.

Tijd: 3e-2e eeuw v.C.
Plaats: Carthago.
Bodashtart doet wat met olifanten. Misschien was hij wel een boogschutter op de rug van zo'n dier.

Baalazor?

Inscription of one line, that is also damaged. It comes from San Rafael on Ibiza-island. It says probably : present, or memory stone of Baal-azor.

Melqart - on - the - rocks

To the Lord, to Melqart-on-the-rock, was given this statue of gold with a front, in fullfilling the vow by the people of TG'LBN, because he has heard his voice.

Which city? Some think it is from the oasis Figuig in Morocco with the parasitaire plant. Others think it is Cerro del Prado or Silla del Papa near Gibraltar. On-the-rock means Gibraltar.
