Cis I 143 Santuacci

Santu Iacci or Santuiacci
==================
This is the finding place of an trilingue (greek-latin-punic) = CIS I 143 = KAI 166. Trilingues are very rare.
Santu Iacci is located near San Nicolo Gerei in the southeast quarter of Sardinia. Date: 1st half of the 2nd century BC.
Punic text:
To the lord, to Ešmoen m’rḥ, this altar of brons with a weight of 100 pounds, that was dedicated by ’klyn (Cleon), servant? or member of the corporation? Of ḥsgm, who are near the salt-pan? He has heard his voice, he has cured him: in the year of the suffetes Himilkat and Abdešmoen, son of Himilk.

The greek and latin texts are slightly different. In the punic text the word ḥsgm forms a problem. No idea what it means. Even the Italian enclosed text (Amadasi) has no solution. Furthermore the translations “member of the corporation’ and ‘salt-pan” are not certain.

The last word forms a problem. One can’t figure out the exact meaning. Maybe it stands for governor or head of the priests.
